Prodesign was commissioned by the Ministry of Youth and Sports for the upgrading of MEP installation for both King George V Stadium and Phoenix Gymnasium.
Since Mauritius aims at becoming the Sports Hub of the Indian Ocean region, the objective of the upgraded works carried out at the stadium is to provide athletes with proper sports infrastructures both during and after the IOIG 2019.
Prodesign is satisfied with regards to the completed projects achieved at the two sites and stated that there was no cost overrun for the upgrades. The MEP works included the upgrading of plumbing and electrical installations. Our multidisciplinary MEP Consultants also undertook electrical remedial work, and the cable schedule of the stadium.
The comfort of spectators and players is of utmost importance to Prodesign in the delivery of both the stadium and the gymnasium. They were designed to ensure that the conditions are safe before, during, and after matches at any time of day throughout the different disciplines.
