Prodesign was appointed by the Mauritius Duty Free Paradise (MDFP) Ltd in 2005 to design a new, state of the art warehouse and their office headquarters, which would be in compliance with international standards. The brief was to design a 3800m2 warehouse complying with British Standards and based on the BS sets of code of practice. The warehouse was used for the storage of electronic products, electronics parts, white goods, chocolate, liquor, cosmetics products, clothing, fresh foods, and cigarettes, all under one roof. It was a real challenge to create the environment proper for this wide range of goods under a single building, which we successfully achieved in 2009, when the project was handed over to the client.
