246 ECC Defining the work and play concept
Commercial
The 246 Edith Cavell Court is located in a part of Port Louis which has kept much of its historical character.

The site exists since the 19th Century and was referred to as ‘L’hôtel du Genie, housing the Civil Engineering office of Mauritius. Today, it can pride itself in its prime location, with its proximity to other business entities while being on a very busy and accessible road. The court today suits modern times and offers Grade A office and retail spaces, defining the “Work and Play concept.” It was inaugurated in December 2019.

Prodesign was appointed as MEP Consultant on this project by Lavastone Properties Ltd and our M&E engineers have designed services with maximum flexibility and usability in mind. In order to propose the best solution to our client, our experienced MEP consultants employed an innovation-driven approach backed with scientific principles. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Modelling was used for the ventilation system of conference hall and proposed a design which significantly reduces energy capex and operating costs while keeping a comfortable environment. A metering system was proposed and implemented for electricity, water and air conditioning system for enhanced billing purposes.
