The project consisted of a shell and core office building with a basement parking level and Prodesign was appointed as both the MEP Consultant and Green Building Consultant, aligning with the client’s objectives of sustainability and energy minimization. The gross external area (GEA) of the building is 2917 m2 with an area of 1472 m2 for office space.
This green project was undertaken by our Sustainability Engineers and then constructed with eco-friendly building materials namely eco blocks for better thermal and acoustic insulation, energy-efficient windows and solar screens which are only a few examples of the sustainability initiatives.
The Dot. is the third building in Moka Smart City to obtain the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification and Prodesign was the LEED Consultant on this project. Green buildings are slowly but surely making their way into the Mauritian building industry. LEED offers the framework for the successful application of green principles while offering high level of market recognition.
