With shops, offices, housing and leisure facilities, Grand Baie La Croisette is the biggest mixed-use development being constructed in Mauritius. Phase I, initiated in August 2009 and completed in October 2012, has included, in its some 150,000 square metres of floor space, a DIY and two major food stores as anchors, plus five restaurants and a further ten food outlets, a five-screen multiplex cinemas with 900 seats, 120 retail outlets organised in clusters (urban fashion, high fashion, bookshop, music, craft goods, home ware, electronics etc), 5,000 square metres of grade A office space, 64 luxury RES apartments, 28 premium duplex-type apartments for Mauritians and a gymnasium, tennis courts and a swimming pool. The site also includes 660 underground parking bays and more than 500 in the open air.
Prodesign was invited to provide full MEP services and, given the scale of the project, set up a dedicated team, based at La Croisette, to supervise works there.
We are back on site in 2017 to design an additional office block and a tower of high level RES apartments.
